Serving the most vulnerable children means preparing and
developing them for their future.

This is one of the world's greatest tasks

But today in the world's poorest places, where families and communities are strained and fragile, many children are not receiving the crucial skills they will need for their futures.

The goal of the Hands at Work model is to ensure the most vulnerable children are not left behind. It begins with mobilizing men & women from the local church to take personal responsibility for these children in their own community. And together, as a team, to live out God's promise to be a Father to the Fatherless by filling in the crucial development gaps in a child created by family loss and broken community.

Changing the Way we Think about Education

"We know our children can grow up to be healthy adults who love the Lord and can provide for themselves and their families, and make a positive impact in their communities. That's our dream for them! Imagine what an impact our children can make as they grow up healed of such a past of brokenness and start to model a new way in their community!"

- Busie Sityata-Jones, African Leader (South Africa)

A Message from George on holistic education

“All of us need to come together and rebuild these layers to ensure that holistic education takes place. That's expensive - in time, in human resources. But you know, God's word says, ‘I placed the lonely in families!’”

More children than ever in history are attending schools. Yet for many, this does not lead to learning.
Schooling does not always lead to learning. Worldwide, there are more non-learners in school than out of school.
