Long Term Volunteers - February 2015 Intake

3 Volunteers from Australia will be joining this intake at the end of February Mark House TAS(top)  – Jade McClain QLD(left)– Jared Wood NSW(right)

Mark, Jared and Jade will join other volunteers from countries around the world, from different backgrounds and of different ages and they will each form this February Intake, Hands at Work team.

Please pray for them as they join Hands at Work to mobilise, equip and support the local church across Africa to transform the lives of Africa’s most vulnerable children.

They have committed to invest a year of their life on behalf of Africa’s most vulnerable alongside Hands at Work who are impacting people in over 60 communities in 8 countries. They have committed to COME with an open heart and a willingness to learn and to serve in whatever way is needed.

Hands at Work volunteers serve the long-term local workers as “scaffolding”: a temporary, but essential tool in building a structure and leaving it stronger than upon arrival.

We look forward to hearing their stories and spiritual journey as the year progresses.

Prayer Points:

  • They will be leaving in under 2 weeks so please pray for their final preparations
  • Pray that God would give them a peace a real sense of His presence

"For “everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? And how are they to preach unless they are sent? As it is written, “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news!”"  Romans 10:13-15

Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, "Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?" And I said, "Here am I. Send me!" Isaiah 6:8
