MY LIFE: VIVIAN, AFRICAN LEADER (NIGERIA)

"Hands at Work has impacted my life in many positive ways. I have learned to care for people and my family and to be closer to God. Every day, my life is changed by the word of God that I hear and read when we come together. I have a family here in Hands who correct, direct, teach, pray and care for me. They really love me.

When I joined many years ago, I applied to work and get paid. But over time, I started to understand it's not just about working and getting paid. This is God's ministry, and the foundation is Christ. My first time in the community with the senior leaders was a touching experience because I was able to see the vulnerability and hard life that people are living. It brought many questions to me that I couldn't answer, but I want to know more, and I am learning from the leaders, who are very patient with me. I am a work in progress; I know I am not who I used to be. God is transforming my life daily. I thank God for what he is doing in my life right now and for what he will still do. Being part of the Hands family is a privilege and blessing."
