Prayer Requests

July 12th

Greetings in Jesus’ Name.

Have no fear of sudden disaster or of the ruin that overtakes the wicked, for the LORD will be at your side and will keep your foot from being snared.

Proverbs 3 : 25-26

DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC CONGO.

GOMA The situation in Goma is very unstable and dangerous at the moment. There is a lot of anxiety and fear as no one is certain about what is happening.  Families have fled to find safety and vulnerable children are traumatized. Grandmothers caring for many children are especially at risk as they try to protect these children.

Please pray that the situation will be stabilised and peace will return and for the protection of the most vulnerable children on Goma. Pray for Erick, Angel and local Care Workers to have wisdom as how to protect the children.

That they will find strength in God’s word.

Revelation 5:13

Greetings to our Hands at Work Community and Prayer Partners,

The Hands at Work Celebrations held in Zambia the last week of April were a huge success!  All logistical issues went smoothly, many contributed their help, and God granted us safety as hundreds of people traveled throughout Africa and overseas.

Workshops held on going deeper in the spiritual lives of vulnerable children were blessed.  The Holy Spirit moved through facilitators and participants as relationships were strengthened and all came to further understand our Father’s call to care for and disciple one another.

Our local Care Workers and community leaders returned to their countries committed to building God’s kingdom in the face of their daily challenges.  With new found strength from this time together, they encouraged one another, knowing that this work is a calling and not a profession.

We thank God for His faithfulness in many answered prayers.

Be Blessed in Jesus’ Name,

Oumie

PRAYER REQUESTS

Please join with us in prayer now for the Hands at Work Celebrations. This is a time when representatives from all our communities across Africa together with our family around the world gather to spur one another on in this good work God has called us to. Activities will start from April 15th and run till the first of May in Zambia.

Please pray that all logistical issues and hospitality arrangements will be finalised in time. Pray for travelling mercies and health protection for our many visitors attending from several international and African countries. Pray that people will be able to cross borders without any problems. But most of all pray that this will be a time completely guided by the Holy Spirit, that it will bring a timely message and conviction in each heart and result in unity and an outpouring of love to one another and to all who are in need.

Be blessed. Oumie

40 Days of Prayer - Day 40

Thank God for the past 40 days of prayer.  Ask Him to continue to break your heart for the orphans of Africa and give you a deep understanding of the brokenness throughout the communities Hands at Work is serving. Ask Him to help you continue to be faithful in prayer for Africa's vulnerable.

But truly God has listened; he has attended to the voice of my prayer - Psalm 66:19
