Connecting with communities in Zambia

Each year from Australia, a team of Victorians travel across to Zambia to spend a few weeks with the communities they have partnered with for many years. Headed up by New Horizons Church in Whittlesea, these teams have formed personal relationships with community volunteers and children who are receiving care and support through Hands at Work in Africa. Based in Luanshya, Zambia, Hands at Work (Australia) actively supports 3 communities in Zambia, including Chibuli, New Wells, and Maranatha.
This year is no different. In May 2012, a team of 18 people, from Ballarat and Whittlesea will be travelling to Luanshya, Zambia to host camps that will be run for orphaned and vulnerable children. These camps will be an opportunity for the team to connect first-hand with the communities they support throughout the year. For many on the team, it will be their first time to Africa.  We look forward to hearing about this trip when they return!
