WEEK 5 – THE INTERNATIONAL RESPONSE: THE CHURCH
As Hands at Work stirs up and mobilises the local church to care for the most vulnerable, we envision the church outside Africa unified in this same mission. Together we are the body of Christ, and the International Church is also called to care for those in need.
Day 23
We give thanks to God always for all of you, constantly mentioning you in our prayers, remembering before our God and Father your work of faith and labour of love and steadfastness of hope in our Lord Jesus Christ. – 1 Thessalonians 1:2-3
Hands at Work has offices and partners in Australia, Canada, South Africa, UK, and in Europe. We desire to see transformation in lives of those who serve outside of Africa as well as within. Many volunteers in these offices have given up paid work time to serve with Hands at Work. Pray for strength and provision for these volunteers who are committed to serving the most vulnerable children in Africa from afar, and their own local communities.
